Engineers Day Celebration

On the occasion of Engineers’ Day on 15/09/2025, the Civil Engineering Department organized a special program to pay tribute to Sir M. Visvesvaraya, the legendary Civil Engineer and Bharat Ratna awardee. As part of the celebration, our students showcased their talent and creativity by preparing a working model of the Chenab Railway Bridge, the world’s highest railway bridge, located in Jammu & Kashmir. The model highlighted the structural features, design techniques, and construction challenges of this engineering marvel. The bridge, which stands taller than the Eiffel Tower, represents the excellence of Indian engineering in modern infrastructure development. The event was inaugurated by the Hon. Shri. Vijayshingh Mane, President of the Sanshta, who appreciated the efforts of the students and faculty for bringing such innovative and practical learning experiences. He also encouraged students to follow the ideals of Sir M. Visvesvaraya and contribute towards nation-building through engineering excellence. The celebration not only paid tribute to great engineers but also inspired students to develop creativity, problem-solving skills, and technical knowledge for the future. The celebration concluded with the message that engineers play a crucial role in nation-building, and young civil engineers must continue to contribute to society through sustainable and innovative practices.
